Half a Time Zone

Our family recently returned from a wonderful trip to Australia and New Zealand.

While there, I spoke to several groups of CEOs for TEC Australia. We traveled to Adelaide where I’d been invited to speak by TEC Chair Adrian Geering. Upon our arrival, we discovered the local time was neither an hour ahead nor behind other Australian time zones: there was a 30-minute difference.

This so-called “offset” in Adelaide also occurs in some sections of India, Canada and a handful of other places, but it was the first time I’d experienced it.

The time difference prompted me to think about how I would use an extra 30 minutes in my day.

What activities can you eliminate to free 30 minutes in your day for more important priorities?
