Rudyard Kipling + Accountability

Today is Rudyard Kipling’s birthday.

Kipling was born in 1865 and is the author of The Jungle Book (made into a Disney movie), “The Man Who Would Be King” (made into a movie starring Michael Caine and Sean Connery), other short stories and countless poems. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1907, making him the youngest recipient to date.

As you reflect on 2014 and think about 2015, consider the role accountability plays in performance.

And consider this poem from Kipling to get the most out of yourself and others in the year ahead:

I keep six honest serving-men,
They taught me all I knew;
Their names are What and Why and When,
And How and Where and Who.

Happy New Year.
