Last week I was in Ohio delivering my accountability workshop, so I visited the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton.
Displays of pro football’s early years were interesting. The interactive presentations were thought-provoking.
But what struck me most powerfully were the exhibits chronicling the football dynasties of the Green Bay Packers, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the San Francisco 49ers, the Dallas Cowboys and, most recently, the New England Patriots. The amount of attention these champions command reminded me of Winston Churchill’s quote that, “History is written by the victors.”
Leaders have numerous ways to leave a legacy.
What history will you write?
To dive even deeper into the topic of accountability, I invite you to purchase a copy of my bestselling book, “Accountability: The Key to Driving a High-Performance Culture.”
Business schools teach case studies. Hollywood blockbusters are inspired by true events.
Exceptional leaders are students of history. Decision-making comes with the territory.
